In July 2019, MiLBooM was invited by the US Army Milwaukee to support a recruiting project they developed. Partners involved with the project included Milwaukee Bucks Esports Team, Marquette University, and MiLBooM Esports. MiLBooM provided Esports gaming equipment, technical expertise, and area marketing in support of the summer promotion. The highlight of the event was the showcase featuring the Milwaukee Bucks competing against the US Army’s Elite Esports Team in Rocket League, NBA Y2K, Smash Bros, and Madden. Marquette University provided the space for the event.
Attendees received autographs, an opportunity to compete against the US Army Elite team members, Milwaukee Bucks members, had a great time playing casual games, and received US Army swag for attending. It was a great experience all-around and a perfect lead-in for future US Army Esports endeavors. The US Army shared their interest in hosting two annual events.
